About the Role

With a strong pipeline of work secured across North Queensland, BMD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Construction team in Townsville.

Leading the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across the region, you will be responsible for managing project performance across safety, quality, programme, commercial outcomes and client relationships. You will provide leadership to project teams, mentor engineers and supervisors, and drive innovative solutions to complex construction challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical transport, civil infrastructure and utility projects while contributing to BMD's continued growth across North Queensland.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion.
• Managing project budgets, forecasting, programme and contractual obligations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Providing leadership, mentoring and development to engineering and site teams.
• Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.
• Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with environmental and quality requirements.
• Supporting pre-contracts, tenders and planning activities as required.

About You

The successful candidate will be a motivated and results-driven leader with:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in a Project Manager role delivering projects for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, financial management, contract administration and project controls.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and achieve outstanding project outcomes.
• A proactive commitment to safety, environmental performance and quality.

Highly Desirable Experience

• Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) project experience.
• Experience delivering major road, highway, bridge or transport infrastructure projects.
• Pipeline, water infrastructure or utilities project experience, which will be highly regarded.
• Experience working within regional Queensland project environments.
