About the role 

As Workshop Supervisor, you will lead the maintenance team to ensure the project fleet remains safe, reliable and operational. You'll coordinate servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs, working closely with project teams to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.

The role also includes monitoring workshop performance, managing costs and driving productivity through strong team leadership. This is a FIFO 2:1 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities for mobile construction plant and heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, trucks).
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and service routines to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
• Lead a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff; assign tasks, provide technical guidance, and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, determine repair strategies, and ensure timely resolution to prevent work delays.
• Monitor equipment condition and reliability, recommending replacements or upgrades as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company maintenance protocols.
• Manage maintenance records, including service histories, parts usage, and inspection logs.
• Liaise with operations, procurement, and OEM suppliers to coordinate parts ordering and equipment servicing.
• Track maintenance costs, control budget expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure workshop practices and field maintenance are in line with company standards.

About you 

Great people skills and the ability to build trust is a must backed by strong communications skills. You may also:

• Have 5 years+ supervisory experience ideally within the construction and/or resources sector
• Previous workshop maintenance experience ideally within the Pilbara
• Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve;
• Proven communicator who can lead and positively influence those around them.
