About the role
We are seeking a Systems Officer to join our team, supporting our Western Australia operations. In this hands-on role, you will provide end-user support, systems administration, training and technology deployment across our offices and project sites, helping our people get the most from the systems and tools that support our business.
This hands-on role combines customer service, technology support and stakeholder engagement, ensuring our people have the tools, systems and knowledge they need to work effectively. With regular travel to project sites, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with operational teams, support new technology initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement across our business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for business systems and technology platforms used across operational and project teams.
- Manage and coordinate regional IT helpdesk requests through Topdesk, including ticket triage, investigation, escalation and resolution.
- Deliver systems training and user support across platforms including myJob, SharePoint, Civilpro, HammerTech and other business applications.
- Support employee onboarding, inductions and systems orientation programs.
- Assist with the deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment including computers, tablets, phones, printers and network devices.
- Conduct regular site visits to support project teams with technical assistance, equipment setup and user training.
- Maintain asset registers, system records and knowledge resources to support efficient service delivery.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and the rollout of new technologies, applications and business system enhancements.
- Gather feedback and provide insights to support continuous improvement of systems, processes and user experience.
- Champion the adoption and effective utilisation of business systems and change initiatives across the region.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, team meetings and planned operational activities.
About you
You are a proactive and adaptable professional with experience supporting business systems and end users. You communicate effectively, build strong stakeholder relationships and are committed to delivering high-quality customer service.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience in an IT support, systems administration or end-user support role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
- A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently across multiple locations.
- Confidence using and supporting a variety of business applications and technology platforms.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and solutions-focused support.
- Willingness to travel throughout the region and occasionally interstate to support project and office teams.
Travel is an essential requirement of this role, with regular travel to project sites within the state.
