About the Role
As BMD expands its major infrastructure capability in South Australia, we are looking for experienced Senior Project Engineers to join our Adelaide team. This opportunity is suited to established infrastructure professionals who are comfortable taking ownership of complex packages and coordinating engineering, commercial and construction activities across major projects. You will provide leadership to engineers within the project team while working closely with Project Managers and construction leadership to drive successful project outcomes.
 
Your role will include:
  • Lead major civil construction work packages.
  • Coordinate engineering and construction interfaces.
  • Monitor program, budget and project performance.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement and delivery.
  • Lead claims, variations and relevant contract administration.
  • Identify program, commercial and construction risks.
  • Provide technical leadership and solve complex delivery issues.
  • Build effective client, consultant and stakeholder relationships.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Site Engineers.
  • Support the Project Manager in overall project delivery.
 
About You
 
To be successful, you will bring:
  • A relevant civil engineering or related tertiary qualification - Recognised by Engineers Australia
  • Significant major civil infrastructure delivery experience
  • Experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting environment
  • Ownership of substantial construction packages
  • Strong commercial and contractual capability
  • Demonstrated engineering leadership
  • Strong stakeholder and subcontractor management skills.
