As part of our growing infrastructure portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Cultural Heritage Representative to support the delivery of a significant transport infrastructure project in South East Queensland. This role will play a critical part in ensuring cultural heritage obligations are effectively managed and integrated throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary cultural heritage representative for the project and liaise directly with the Principal's Cultural Heritage Team
  • Attend and participate in heritage meetings, workshops and project forums as required
  • Implement and maintain approved Heritage Management Plans (HMPs)
  • Develop, lead and oversee cultural heritage management plans, processes and strategies across the project
  • Work closely with project and safety teams to ensure cultural heritage compliance requirements are met
  • Coordinate and report on mandatory cultural heritage inductions and awareness programs
  • Manage cultural heritage site activities, including monitoring programs and field operations
  • Coordinate cultural heritage monitor logistics, onboarding, inductions and timesheet administration
  • Interface with project delivery teams and contractors to ensure consistent heritage management practices
  • Maintain heritage registers, records and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate monitor engagements and communicate schedule changes, postponements or absences
  • Manage and oversee unexpected finds processes and heritage-related site incidents
  • Provide advice and guidance to project teams on cultural heritage obligations and risk mitigation strategies

About You

  • Bachelor's (Honours) degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Cultural Heritage Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum five years' demonstrated experience in cultural heritage management or equivalent heritage-related project work
  • Experience supporting the delivery of major infrastructure, civil construction or development projects
  • Strong understanding of cultural heritage legislation, compliance requirements and heritage management frameworks
  • Experience managing heritage monitors, heritage programs and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with Traditional Owners, project teams, contractors and clients
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to safety, environmental and cultural heritage outcomes
