As part of our team, you’ll help deliver challenging projects, supported by leadership within an inclusive people-first culture.

About the role

Reporting to the Group Digital Engineering Manager, this newly created position offers the opportunity to support the implementation of BMD's Digital Engineering strategy while working closely with project teams, design partners and stakeholders across the business. You will provide BIM and Information Management expertise, support project delivery, drive best-practice digital workflows and contribute to the ongoing evolution of BMD's digital engineering capability.

This is an exciting opportunity for a BIM or Digital Engineering professional looking to move beyond project delivery and contribute to the long-term growth, innovation and strategic direction of Digital Engineering within a national organisation.

Your day to day will include:

  • Support the implementation of BMD's Digital Engineering strategy across major civil and infrastructure projects nationally.
  • Provide BIM and Information Management support throughout project lifecycles, from tender and project setup through to construction and handover.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, design consultants and JV partners to ensure effective digital project delivery.
  • Assist with model and information management processes, resolving coordination issues and supporting project teams with best-practice BIM workflows.
  • Promote Digital Engineering capabilities across the business, providing training, guidance and support to enhance adoption and continuous improvement.

Skills and experience

  • Advanced Diploma of Digital Engineering, Graduate Certificate in Digital Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years' experience in BIM, Digital Engineering or Information Management within civil construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, Common Data Environments (CDEs), information management frameworks and digital delivery processes.
  • Experience working with BIM, CAD, GIS, visualisation or related digital engineering technologies.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with project teams, consultants, contractors and senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable professional with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and developing digital engineering capability.
